I specialise in planting up newly built gardens, sourcing and planting semi-mature and unusual plants and also providing ongoing care and maintenance for established gardens.
I completed the RHS Advanced Certificate in Horticulture at Sparsholt College and have also developed some expertise in plants that provide medicinal, nutritional and health benefits through my work with local care organisations and hospitals.
Colour, texture and form are important to me when deciding on how and where to place plants. And, from a therapeutic point of view, I like to work with plants which stimulate or nurture our senses (smell, touch, taste etc.)
I aim to ensure that each and every plant will provide interest in at least two seasons,
ideally three. This is really important in small gardens where there is much more
attention given to the space.  And it all begins with the soil beneath – I take time
to get this right before planting (especially on new-build sites).
